Home · Individual counselling
One-to-one counselling, for the things you have not said out loud.
Fifty minutes with someone whose only job in that hour is to understand what is actually happening to you.
What people bring
- Anxiety that has stopped responding to the things that used to manage it
- Grief — including the kind nobody around you treats as grief
- Burnout, and the guilt of being tired in a country where everyone is tired
- A decision you cannot make alone and cannot safely discuss with anyone close to you
- Old family patterns you can see clearly and still cannot stop repeating
- Rebuilding after something you did not choose
Why people come here rather than talk to someone they know
In Port Harcourt, most people's support network is also their audience. Family, church, colleagues — every one of them has an opinion about your marriage, your career, and your choices, and every one of them will still be there next year.
A counselling room is the one place where saying the true thing carries no social cost.
You do not have to be in crisis to deserve an hour of proper attention.
What the first session is like
You will do most of the talking, and Christie will ask more questions than you expect. By the end she will tell you plainly what she thinks is going on and what she would suggest doing about it — including telling you if she thinks you need a psychiatrist, a doctor, or nobody at all.
Most people do between six and twelve sessions. Some need three.

Anxiety, grief, burnout, a decision you cannot make alone, or the slow feeling that something is off.
The first step takes four minutes.

Book a sessionIf you are in danger right now, do not wait for an appointment.
This practice is not an emergency service and messages are not monitored overnight. If you are thinking of ending your life, or you are not safe where you are, call one of these instead. They answer around the clock and they are free.
